I urge you to take the Handmade Pledge! Many people in the USA take great pride in handcrafting their passions! Buying from them not only helps our economy but you are more than likely going to get a superior quality item that is more than likely one of a kind! What a special way to show someone you care! (Both your special someone AND the person that created the item!)

Refining fleeces one cria at a time...

At Alpacas of Alagaesia, it is our goal to have and to offer to you alpacas with elite fiber qualities, natural colors, strong conformation and health, in addition to a "typey" look that you just want to hug! We want to stay small enough to be able to offer the best of care to our animals and to offer our best service to you as a client and a friend.

What does all of this mean for you???...VALUE ADDED BENEFITS!!!

**Any alpaca purchased from us is an exceptional value! As the market moves more and more towards the highest quality fleeces for end products, you can rest assured that your breeding alpacas from us are capable of keeping up with the market over the years to come. We have a lot of pride in being able to offer elite quality alpacas to our customers for their own herd advancement.

**We are also very proud to have alpacas available at very reasonable prices for their quality. We reward our customers with 50% discounts on breedings in addition to any free breedings they are entitled to. We like being able to offer many choices in herdsires from very diverse, top notch genetics. We have a big farm herdsire lineup but with small farm attention!  Best of all...YOU WON'T BE BREAKING THE BANK!!!!!!

**Start-up farms can rest easy knowing we are just a phone call away for any questions they may have concerning their alpacas health, breeding, or care, as well as questions on business plans, marketing their new farm, farm layouts, etc! If we don't know an answer, we will find one out for you!

**Maintaining a small herd means our alpacas get a lot of individual attention daily. This provides you with an alpaca that can be handled easily and most likely enjoys a good neck scratch or back rub in addition to those cherished paca-kisses!

Having experience most all of my life with successfully raising and showing Tennessee Walking Horses and then Persian and Exotic cats, I have learned the "power of predictability" by studying and using pedigrees as a tool in choices with our breeding decisions and our own farm purchases. Bloodlines behind some of our foundation herd include LEGENDARY alpacas like Hemingway, Accoyo Victor, Accoyo Legacy, Accoyo Royal Fawn, Danko, Chaccu, Snowmass Snow King, Snowmass Royal Rose, Accoyo Augusto, Accoyo Caligula, Bueno, Silvio, Silvino, and Accoyo Vengador. Our alpacas also feature other Champion and ribbon winning alpacas such as Maple Brook Sapphire, Macintosh, CCNF Royal Ring of Fire, Fleecy Dale Luminescence, Shaquille, Brittany's Desparado, Polaris and many others. Be sure to check out the pedigrees for our alpacas on their info pages. As you can see, we have a small but potent herd!

Our Alagaesia farm store is online now. You can also find us at The Farmers Market located in South Bend Indiana during the winter months and occasionally the rest of the year. We are honored to be part of a market with such a rich and long history in the city of South Bend! Stop by and see us!

We sincerely hope that you will come back and check on our progress! We hope to be growing by leaps and bounds!!! Call to schedule a visit and get a taste of what the "alpaca lifestyle" is all about!!!

Our best,
Leann & Don Alexander
